Just remember that the nomination has to be for a deed done since the last Thank You Award.

Mmm, can't we "bend" this rule a little?

I would like to propose Stefano Ceccherini (aka Jack Burton), for his work on: BMenus and related classes, Terminal's revamp and the rest of his work (http://cia.vc/stats/author/jackburton). - oscar

@zaranthros: Well, you /could/ vote tactically: Michael Lotz is a Sulton of Code. He's bound to do something amazing the moment you blink. Not to belittle Gerald! mmlr just has an amazing track record...

@33: Time's running out. Where are your candidates? smilies/smiley.gif
Two candidates is a bit pathetic considering the commit list traffic...

Regards
Humdinger

Those are some good choices already. I agree with the hall of fame as well. It would be good to have a place to honor the previous winners :) - thenerd

@humdinger, I've added a list of the previous winners on the thank you award tab in the bounty section. i'll prettify it later! the website will see a major overhaul before the year's end. no worries. i'll be looking for feedback once i get a test version up and running.

@zaranthros, tough choices indeed! i'm having tough choices with picking my team for the euro 2008 fantasy football game, but it has to be done ;D - karl

I don't know how I could pick one over the other of the two you've listed. I'm sure I'll have Haiku on a computer with some old graphics chipset at some point so I can't live without that contribution. USB and other low level stuff? Who could live without that? How to choose? :o - Zaranthos

That's good, Karl! Thanks!

Maybe you should generally consider to restructure the Haikuware site. For my taste, there are too many sidebars left and right on every page of Haikuware. Maybe it would be wise to separate parts more clearly: News, Files, Bounties, Thank You Award, Forum.

Back on topic:
I think it may be more difficult this time to come up with candidates for the TYA, because there are so many little things going on right now. Many bugfixes, many patches. But not many really big things that totally stand out. As non-coder I miss many things of course. OTOH, it could also be a sign that Alpha1 is right around the corner... :)

@Humdinger, absolutely right! There should be a list, or hall of fame as you suggest. I'll work on that. - karl

Actually, I really think that there should be a "Hall of Fame" for our TYA winners. Right now, the awards come and go and are, apparently, forgotten.

33: These are the past winners: Axel Dörfler, Ingo Weinhold, the BeGeistert guys, the Bezilla guys

Everyone else is still eligable to be nominated, even if he was nominated before.
Just remember that the nomination has to be for a deed done since the last Thank You Award. - Humdinger

Is there a list available of earlier nominees, I have some thoughts about who should be nominated but I'm not sure whether they've been nominated/awarded before... - 33
