for the irritations regarding this entry. the entry was signed when i submitted it. Maybe a fault of the Safari browser i used because other fields also could not filled out. I plan to update my entries asap when my BeOS box is running again.

I have to stop users from simply deleting useful information... The description box is provided as a courtesy and opportunity for the reviewer to add other details about the hardware, and the review gives an opportunity for people who are interested in using this hardware to post a discussion about it. Now, I have made the 'submitted by' field mandatory now, and if you have questions, or think the review isn't up to par, you can PM the author about it. Haikuware's hardware database gives the opportunity to input a lot of information and goes above and beyond what other operating system databases have to offer. Consider for instance Mandriva's database: http://www.mandriva.com/hardware/tests?id=976847 Here's your info for one piece of hardware: Distribution: Mandriva Linux 2007 Architecture: 32bit (x86) Kernel: 2.6.17-5mdv With a little supported stamp. Wow, that's really great!! So, I will edit the rest of the entries that don't have the author's details. Maybe this site will go nowhere, but I don't see anyone else putting in the effort I do, and don't really appreciate those comments. I can't force users to give a description either. Karl

The person (unknown; no name was given) who added this hardware never said ANYTHING about it. Just saying "Yes", to if it's supported is not telling us how it functions or if everything on it works in Haiku. This is not sufficient to provide a person building a "Haiku Box" with this motherboard or who may already have this motherboard, if everything works on it. I say such "empty" listings should either be required to be "detailed" (information added about the hardware) or removed within two weeks. I would never be able to make an informed decision on a board like this. I try to give enough DETAILS about the hardware (motherboard/video card) I've posted, so the person knows something about it. There is no excuse for such empty hardware entries as this one. This site will go nowhere, as a reliable source of Haiku Hardware Compatibility, if this is not corrected promptly, because no one can take such an empty hardware entry seriously! This "review" may be removed (or I will remove it) once this situation is fixed.
