oh, to boot into Zeta, just throw the Zeta CD in and hit the spacebar, and tell it to load the Zeta partition on your disk.

yes I am working on it. I've actually managed to get it to burn (after some embarrassment) and it boots. it does bring up an installer and does appear to install.

We can get to a live cd by "ctrl+alt+del" and closing the installer and restarting the desktop.

acutally don't close out the installer right away as it opens the disk drive and goes to KDL (at least on my laptop). Just click the restart desktop button after you ctrl+alt+del.

well, you have grub installed and linux boots, use chainloader and edit grub's config to add Haiku and Zeta (I still don't understand how you installed Zeta, but it won't boot)... but anyways, check entry #7 at the end of this site:

I installed Zeta and Haiku on my old PC and kept the hardrives. Thats why they dont boot any longer.

And another thing. I dont have the permission to alter menu.lst. Do i have to gksudo or sudo the file first?

What exactly is chainloader ? (hate linux)
