I have a problem with the haiku nightly builds, this means I cannot boot such one.
I use 'dd' for copy the unpacked image in a partition and then I setup the bootman. After reboot the machine, I see the new entry in the bootmanager, but after pressing enter to the new entry, it comes a error like: 'cannot load OS'.
I tested nearly the same procedure in qemu and it works. The only one difference was, in qemu I used an new image (virt.hdd) as target and on my real machine I used a log.partition.

Is this a known issue?
What is the official way for using a nighly build?

you have to make the partition bootable... what operating system did you copy the image over from?

I used Beos PE 5.0.3 and the "bootman" is also from this OS.

Did you run 'makebootable' from within BeOS against the partition? Won't boot otherwise.

Aaaaah, that was the missing part, many thanks, now it works. great job

Now I'm able to boot Haiku on my SIS Notebook.

Wicked! I didn't know Haiku supported SIS.

Could you add your notebook to the hardware database?
