Curious idea. I know E17, but which other application use this library native? Or will ETK substitute completely GTK+ for application?

Unfortunately there are few application actually.
And ETK doesn't substituite GTK+, but offers an API very similar to the GTK+ one, such as using an e* instead of g* in the function's name.

I understand, but except the easiness of the conversion EFL, he will be worth us, in the sense soft, (e.g rebember GIMP under GTK+)? Can equally easily transfers then and the environment graphic E17 (and the best still 3D support -as under Linuks- thanks to Rudolfa drivers for cards nVidia). Or we will be have only interesting library from which will use very seldom...??

EiGHtBiT: Why e.g.GTK+? Yes, for Gimp too.

7 years ago I ported QT 2.3 to BeOS (http://www.bebits.com/ app/2420). There were a number of reasons why I didn't continue the port:

- it needed X11. A better approach would be to create a BeOS native Xlib wrapper, so that X11 applications can run rootless. This is what Mac OSX uses to run WINE, NeoOffice etc.
- Qt apps are not BeOS apps. It may bring quick and dirty KDE applications across, but you miss out on all advanced BeOS native concepts.

After that, I figured that my time would have been better spend developing BeOS native applications instead of being a QT maintainer for BeOS.

As far as bounties are concerned, it is almost trivial to port Qt using X11 with a posix OS.
