Can the code be forked and then stablized?

I'm no developer, but I've got the impression that a port of swfdec could be more likely.

Swfdec depens on Cairo for SVG rendering, and Cairo already has BeOS API support according to wikipedia.

Swfdec also seems to be a better implementation of flash than what Gnash is.

If any developer could confirm that a swfdec port is realistic, or suggest any other way of implementing flash support in Haiku, I'd gladly start a bounty for it.

Maybe someday it will get picked up again.

This day probably just came ( now gcc4 is a "standard" for Haiku). Only question stays: Gnash or swfdec as anders proposed. Michael receive this?

I'm thinking that Gnash might be a good way to go for a bounty. I forgot this had already been started so it might be beneficial to use this code.
