I just got word from Ithamar. He got into a little accident and was immobile for some time, hence the silence.

I feel bad for closing the bounty now, but I had to, and what's done is done.

Ithamar will be back to coding when he recovers

yeah I feel the same way as Karl but we had no way of knowing this had happened.

The CUPS bounty failed here too as you may recall. I'm not in favour of restarting it simply because, it was up here for a year, it failed, and it was one of the least contributed to bounties; with only two donors (albeit generous donors).

If some people have an interest in restarting it, and can back their interest with cash, I'll gladly restart it.

I believe this may be a huge undertaking and would require at least $2000.

Student from Haiku Code Drive disappointed too. And because people donated in HDC this project also(CUPS), maybe Haiku Inc. should pour on bounty cash.

Haha. I've emailed them before to top up Oliver's Bluetooth Bounty. ($275 short)...

Anyways, at the least they could tell the donors what will become of the $ they donated for the failed 'haiku summer of code bounties'...
