vlance was causing a kdl if you enabled the network adapter, this was caused by the vlance driver.

theres a weird bug in haiku where it doesn't remember paths anymore. try adding the path in .profile... it gets ignored.

the vlance driver is missing again, luckily I have a back up.

BTW this under the VirtualBox version

the vlance driver was removed due to developer comments that 'it sucked' compared to the intel driver haiku includes for the ethernet hardware that virtual box emulates...

so it was removed.

i've been unable to get networking running with either the vlance or i1000 driver, and filed a bug:

yeah vlance is a bit iffy sometimes, VirtualBox defaulted me to "pcnet-fast III". I'll have to give "intelpro/1000 MT Desktop" a go.
