gday,

when I try to use sdl I am getting the error of:

 $ld -lsdl
undefined reference to BView::Alignment(void)
ld: warning: cannot find entry symbol _start; not setting start adress
/boot/develop/gnupro/lib/libsdl.so undefined reference to BView::Alignment(void)



Its seems that the headers need to be updated as I have found a comment from ages ago that the headers under Senryu are outdated, as such as "Alignment()" was renamed "LayoutAlignment()" much earlier this year.

Good day,

You should bring this up to the Haiku-Development mailing list or in the #Haiku IRC channel on Freenode. Senryu is based entirely on Haiku therefor any code errors should be reported there. It could also be that Senryu hasn't been updated since a problem has been fixed or brought up.

Actually the problem is Senryu includes old versions of the header files. I had the same problem until I updated them straight from the Haiku repository.

Thanks augiedoggie,

Senryu has not been updated in a few weeks as Karl has been otherwise occupied with real life so I suspect that this problem will get fixed when he releases the next version. I will make sure to let him know that this problem has occurred.
