sounds like you are up and up on the super pack and software

I guess if you've tried them all and added YAME then that's as good as it gets for those ones.

I suspect the live cd would be a bigger project that we would want to take on right now but it would be nice to have a working one (but if Haiku doesn't support it yet, technically, then there isn't much point in trying it).

Does anyone know what is really involved in creating a live cd image of an OS? I've never attempted it so I have no idea. Maybe it's easier than I think it is.

Sorry not to get back sooner on the emulators. I had the same results, but did you set up yame for keyboard? I don't think haiku will recognize my USB gamepad. I know it has something to do with yame.xcf. As far as making a live Haiku cd you must have the haikulivecdscript (included in the source code or available on bebits. Did it once with the files from the author of the HaikuLiveCDScript, but the premade boot image he provides is out of date and therefor not compatible. See this link for info http://haiku-os.org/ community/forum/ haiku_personal_edition . It can't be that hard to build a new boot image. BeosMax.org has good instructions for burning "Beos" cds. Also betips.net

Just a note Vice ALMOST worked. I am disappionted about e-uae though

Very useful image. Thanks a lot! I tryed to compress it with 7-zip 4.55 beta and got 15mb smaller archive than .rar. BeOS supports 7zip. It takes much memory to extract files from .7z archive (~66mb) but it's not a problem now. Maybe you should try to compress and extract image with 7z and if everything goes OK distribute it compressed with 7z.

gotcha thanks for that tip! I've decreased it from 106mb to 90. I'll upload it shortly and use 7z from now on
