BeUAE is a port of UAE, the Unix Amiga Emulator created by Bernd Schmidt.
It's a new and mostly rewritten port. It's not yet finished but unlike the previous port, it already features this:
a settings window
you may start it by double-clicking on its icon
sound is working almost perfectly
UAE runs now in real time, even on fast computers
experimental Picasso96 support
full screen mode
It's a port on top of the latest UAE beta currently available.
I've only tested it with BeOS
R5, but you may compile it with previous versions, too. It should be
possible to compile and run it on PowerPC, but I haven't tested it.
You need Marco Nelissen's liblayout for the GUI.
Details about this version:
updated to UAE 0.8.17
if you add a local directory using the file panel, the name of the
folder you have chosen will be set as the name of the volume (if you
haven't set one yet)
removed the autoconfig setting as it is now longer needed
when quitting BeUAE using the setting window's quit button, the
sound was set to zero volume which was saved from the Media server
the multi-threading implementation was not really used (silly me)
when BeUAE is started by double-clicking a configuration icon, the "Save" menu item in the settings window is now enabled
a bug in uae prevented it from correctly loading the cpu speed setting "max" (since 0.8.16)
