About Guilty Bastards:

A tongue-in-cheek Los Angeles detective mystery in the style of Infocom's Deadline or The Witness.

Guilty Bastards is a murder mystery set in Los Angeles. You're going to have to poke around, ask questions, hide evidence, figure out who's lying, and maybe even twist a few arms to find out whodunnit. The game understands full sentence input like the the classic Infocom adventures (although you can still use the standard set of commands such as "north" or "n", etc.).

This game package is platform-independent. To run it, you'll need the Hugo Engine, which is available here from BeBits (x86 package only)--see the link under "Others By This Publisher". Then, simply unzip this "guilty.zip" file into the "Hugo/games/" subdirectory. Start the Hugo Engine (BeHugo), then open the gamefile "Hugo/games/guilty.hex".

(Note, if you're downloading from the anonymous FTP server and get asked for a login and password, use "ftp" and your e-mail address as the password.)

Smaller patches are typically available from http://www.generalcoffee.com, to save downloading the entire package again. Click on "Guilty Bastards", then "Download".

Details about this version:

No major changes--mainly some improvements to some of the resources (like sound effects), so if you haven't downloaded the full package yet, this is the version to get.
