About Einsteinium:
Einsteinium aims to bring a bit of intelligence to your computer, by
paying attention to what you do every day and reducing repetitive tasks.
This open source project aims to create a system server that
will gather statistics and maintain a database of when and how
often applications, documents, folders and possibly even URLs
are accessed or run, enabling interfaces such as toolbars to
display a dynamic and intelligent selection of objects that get
accessed most often. In plain English, Einsteinium pays attention
to what you do and what you use, and any interface that
accesses Einsteinium's database will be able to populate itself
with useful links automatically. Any interface (think toolbars) that
uses Einsteinium's technology will be self-maintaining. New
shortcuts will be added automatically and old ones will be
removed automatically. This is an application that will be useful
to anyone who uses BeOS, no matter what they do, and it will be
a huge time saver.
If you are a developer interested in contributing to the project,
see the main project web page at http://www.redbearnet.com/
einsteinium and then send an email to the project coordinator
(that's me).
