About cd-discid:

cd-discid is a backend utility to get CDDB discid information from a CD-ROM disc.

Note: I'm not the maintainer or creator of this program. I only ported it to BeOS. However, since I received no reply from the package maintainer, I decided to release it here.

Note2: I'm also not the author of abcde, but it's such a nice tool that I feel obliged to advertise it. :)

cd-discid is used by at least abcde, a ripper and encoder program. Original homepage: http://www.hispalinux.es/~data/files/cd-discid/

cd-discid returns the following information (from the README):

"* 32-bit hex CDDB disc-id. The first byte of this is the track checksum, the next two are the length of the CD in seconds, and the last is the number of tracks
* Number of tracks
* Frame offset of each track
* Second offset for the leadout track (length of the CD in seconds)"

Original source and BeOS-specific patch included in the package.

	Details about this version: Compiled on BeOS R5 using GCC 2.95.3-beos-041202. Should work as-is on ZETA.   Related Links: abcde on BeOS abcde, a tool that uses cd-discid
